Careers
We are keen to recruit lawyers who share our professional interests and aspire to work with leading shipping and energy companies worldwide. Whilst a background in marine construction projects and/or disputes is desirable, we would also consider good quality applicants with a strong general construction background. We consider applications from English solicitors and barristers and those with relevant foreign legal qualifications.
People who succeed here have a good balance between academic ability, interpersonal skills, commercial awareness, confidence, and a highly professional approach to work. We expect our people to be flexible and creative and to have the desire and drive to embrace new experiences and challenges.
If that sounds like you then please get in touch.
Applications
CDG is always interested to hear from high quality lawyers and support staff who aspire to work at the highest level in our areas of expertise. On occasion we advertise for specific positions but we do not operate a formal annual recruitment process and will therefore consider approaches at any time.
Unfortunately CDG does not offer training contracts and we only recruit qualified lawyers. However we do actively seek applications from lawyers continuing their academic career through an LLM or other further qualification.
In the first instance please send a covering letter explaining your interest in Curtis Davis Garrard and a curriculum vitae or resume to the Head of HR.
Following review of an application any successful applicants will be invited to the firm for an interview, where an appropriate role opportunity arises. We operate a two round recruitment process. In the first instance suitable applicants will be invited to interview with one or more partners. Selected candidates will then be invited back for a second round which includes further partner interviews and an opportunity to meet informally other CDG lawyers.
