Energy

Our principal involvement in the energy sector is with those companies involved in the location, production and sale of oil and gas, including liquefied natural gas (LNG). Our clients include oil and gas majors with worldwide development interests, smaller independent oil and gas companies, offshore contractors providing short and long term drilling services or production systems facilities, shipyards and other specialist suppliers of oilfield services and equipment.

Our expertise extends from oilfield licensing and development arrangements, through the procurement and installation of oilfield equipment, including offshore construction issues, to the trading and transportation of crude oil, products and gas, including LNG. We are also actively involved in issues arising in connection with power generation and supply.

Our dispute resolution team provides advice on a variety of offshore procurement and construction issues; on oilfield joint ventures and Joint Operating agreements and other contractual arrangements between E&P companies; and on power generation and supply disputes - working closely with our specialist energy teams.
